I've been a massively lazy shit lately. Middle of last year I was actually putting a bit of effort into trying to keep at least vaguely healthy. I still ate shit because of my sweet tooth and love of all foods yummy but fatty, but at the very least I was getting exercise.
Then eventually my 3 visits to the gym every week turned into two, and then one, and then not long after that I was going once every 2 weeks without even realising I hadnt been. The gym changed their direct debit details, stopped taking my money and I never got around to sorting it out. I also stopped going kickboxing for similar reasons.
None of it was that I disliked it, it was mostly just that I work quite heavily based on routine, and as soon as I fall out of that routine its very easy to just devolve into the nerdy waif that will happily spend the entire evening playing NHL 09.
I'm going back to kickboxing again soon. As I said, it was mostly just that I missed it one week, and then the following week and then the next thing I know its months later and I've not been back. If nothing else I should go just to prove my absence wasnt caused by all the beatings I used to take. I already have plans for next Thursday, so it'll be the week after that I start up again - I guarantee it.
