Just FYI, folks, I'm leaving in a few days...

The site is very cool, but my participation was always intended to be a temporary thing. Life is best when you leave things at the point where you want a little more.

If you want to contact me before i go, please do, as i certainly will continue to exist even after my account does not.

Ursula LeGuin -- she is quite good at giving you a full story, yet never quite cleaning up all the details. It leaves you wanting just a little more.
And that is the best way to leave things.... satisfied, but without total closure. Then you can come back again. I think everything in the world should have that kind of ending.

Bleah.
This weekend reminded me of why i should sit at home alone and do artwork. Its much healthier...
I think that i am going to skip the whole concept of relationships from now on. Just my artwork and friends and school. Yeah, that'll work.

Oh, wow. That was a good 2.5 hours of sleep.
Then the phone rings...

Dangerous conversations are flying around today. I don't really know where they are leading, but they do add a certain splash of color to the world.

Things are only fun when they're on the edge of falling apart.

No, wait. I don't believe that. Strike it.

Bleah.
Had a great night, then got home to a friend who just got dumped. Is ok. who needs sleep anyway?

Did you ever have one of those days where you wanted to self-indulgently scream to the world what was going on in your head? Your feelings and thoughts?

Now is one of those times. I'm not going to post it all, I am just sharing that i have that urge.

I am going to sit around here and read my books instead.

you're an artist, i gather - vomit it all out in some abstract artistic frenzy. it's good fuel.

besides, girls dig that kind of thing.

I am seriously turning nocturnal these days.
Finding other nocturnal people to hang out with in recent weeks has only encouraged this behaviour.

honestly, i don't know what it is a/b the moths. i never got moths like this in boulder. last year was the worst, dozens of moths in the house every night from may - september. i thought i would go crazy!
last night i did my bedtime reading downstairs w/ the dog, then climbed in to bed w/out turning any lights on in my bedroom to try to prevent moths from flying around my head.
well, i hear a faint tick, tick, tick above me and open one eye to see one moth bouncing around the ceiling (woah - i just had a phish flashback - the song "bouncing 'round the room" - i love that song!) where a faint green glow from my statue of liberty night light hits the wall.
i figure, one moth, i can deal w/ that.
then the ticking gets louder and faster. so i open both eyes and there are 5 or 6 moths now bouncing around in the green glow!
completely unsatisfactory!
so i have to dive out of bed, head ducked like i'm dodging bullets, and run into my sewing room and turn on the light in there and the light in the stairwell to lure the moths to the brighter light.
it worked.
but this morning i don't see the moths.
where did they go?
i try to rationalize - they're not dangerous, they don't bite or sting, they don't even eat your wool, and their touch is really soft and gentle, i shouldn't be so freaked out . . .
it doesn't work.

how can you be nocturnal when it's so beautiful in the daytime?

A Friend and I just figured out the problem with relationships --
We both take friends very seriously, and when we run into someone who is right for us, we don't risk losing them over a relationship... we leave it at friends. Which means that we only date people who are wrong for us.
This must stop.

At least you have gotten that far..LOL Although im in the same boat, but its for people that I bring into my life, I hold my friends in high regard, and dont bring many people in, cause I feel that they dont meet my standards, how screwed up is that?

Right. A journal entry. To fill the void that is currently my online profile.

Late-night breakfast food cravings are going to do me in. I've found a few people to join me in the middle of the night when I get off work, one of whom would fit right in here, but that is beside the point. I need to either become totally nocturnal for...
