UPDATES!
Okay, so, first thing's first. I've been going through an awkward time with my body image over the past little while, and therefore have taken to lurking instead of being super active and lovely. For that, I apologize.
I've been getting back into the swing of things and learning to love myself and all my body's little quirks. My personal image issues stem from fluctuating weight due to my connective tissue...If I'm sick for even 2 days I lose a lot of weight really fast, and it's always difficult to keep it on anyway. It makes me feel very frail, and sickly, and things dislocate or sublux more often when my weight is low. But I need to accept that these fluctuations and flare ups are a part of my life, and like my incredible friends have told me ( @chimaera <3) my appearance has nothing to do with my value and worth. Learning and accepting yourself for who and how you are is a difficult journey, and just because you think someone is "perfect" doesn't mean they don't share your insecurities or personal struggles.
Onward and upward!
recently had my very first art showing as part of XOXO EROTICA at Hot Art Wet City in Vancouver!
I started a new painting series called "Basic Bitches". You can read about it heeeerrreee in detail :)
It was a really fun night! @gamerdave and @vancityboi came out to say "Hello" and see the art show, and @Ceres and @psypher were there, too! It was so incredible to have my friends there.
Of course, the amazing @Tita has a huge role in bringing this to life and supporting me in my artistic endeavours. Yay team!
I've also been running the SG vine for a week or so now- it's super fun! I don't always know what to post though, haha. It's hard coming up with decent ideas.
Blog homework time? Yes? Alright.
My biggest accomplishment in life was saying "no" to 9-5 and going after my dreams. While all my friends went and did general studies, I was running off to Victoria to do photography and art while I worked in a gym. It isn't easy, doing the starving artist thing, but it's really fulfilling and brings me a lot of happiness.
"What is your hidden talent?"
I can burp loudly and proudly. The ABC's got nothin' on me.
"Who is your favourite fictional character and why?"
Odd Thomas from the Odd Thomas novels by Dean Koontz. He's quirky, intelligent, interesting, and loyal to his one and only, Stormy Lewellyn.
Guess where my SG name came from? MUAHAHAHAHAHA.
I've got loads of prints up on my Etsy if you guys would like some nudies of me :)
