The ephedrine kicks in like dawn warming the winter soil as I raced through Delaware in an effort to beat the rush hour traffic for my first photo assignment of the year. Assignment isnt necessarily the right word, maybe trip is more accurate in more ways than one. Although only Atlantic City Im ecstatic to finally emerge from the retail holiday casket in which I have dreamt seemingly strange eons (apologies to H.P. Lovecraft).
The dayjob isnt even in the rear view mirror literally but was looming figuratively like a Mack truck. Still not sure if the sanity excursion next weekend will drop me below definition of full time average hours or whether layoffs will effect me but at this point I dont need the safety net to walk the high wire. The Kerouac dream lingers in direct correspondence to the hours of sunlight.
Thus my mind drifted as I sped up I-95 in the lane corresponding to the ring finger of a hand.
Having grown tired of Grateful Dead and Dropkick Murphys (a combo like a kiss on the cheek and a kick to the spleen) my iPod was set to shuffle which when passing the University of Delaware (blow a kiss to Mom) played Rodger Hodgsons Had a Dream.

Would like to say I'm "strong, silent type" but believe it or not I'm shy.
