I am obviously a shitty photographer, but I bought a pretty nice digital camera (Minolta Dimage) and its capabilities come nowhere near what I can do in a darkroom. Maybe I just don't know what I'm doing yet, but I've temporarily abandoned the Dimage and gone back to the darkroom. Keep looking.
I'll try to think of who I know in Seattle that might have something available. We used to do a lot of stuff up there, and I'll ask around when I talk to anyone.
