After the a discussion today in one of the groups I have some suggestions about how to respond to postings...
1) Think about what you read before you make a comment...If someone says " "People often do ____ because they have poor self conceptions", I don't think a reply with something like .."It's not fair of you to assume that everyone who does __ is fucked up" is valid. The first comment did not say "everyone" & it did not say that people are fucked up.
2) Realize that words/phrases such as "many" and "often" are not the same as "everyone" or "always, in every case"
3) Don't get all worked up if you disagree with what someone says, be rational & analytical
4) If you disagree, you can say I disagree with you about ___ and this is why or I read that ___ said this about the topic and that contradicts the info you provided
I just think we all need to be more civil when we disagree.

That's why I posted what I did in the Geezers marriage thread.
For the record I want to support you in your advocacy of over-30 SG's. I agree that there needs to be a little less age discrimination on here.
