Man, I don't know how school has treated you - but I just finished the year from hell. Thank God for summer.
....and I'm not a spy.
But other than that it's exactly the same.
I do like coaching, though. I feel it adds a rather unique dynamic to the classroom. I get to know my students much better - and they get to know me much better - so the "wall" that often separates teachers and students is often significantly reduced. The key is to remember that even though the wall may not be there - you're still the adult and they're still the kid so you've got to act appropriately. But so long as you respect the inherent boundaries of the profession, coaching makes teaching a whole lot more interesting.
I just wish it didn't take so much $#%$%#ing time.
So you surf? Wow. I'm really impressed.
