there are some bands that i love now that i wish i had known about way back when i started getting into music. i wonder how my life would have turned out if i had listened to nick cave and the pogues while i was so young and impressionable.
until recently i never realized that behind those drunk eyes and crazy teeth, shane macgowan had the heart of a violent, undying, beautiful fucking romantic. i can't stop listening to Rum, Sodomy, & the Lash. and i can guarantee you that both 'Into My Arms' and 'Rainy Night in Soho' will be played at the wedding.
but so will 'Sickbed Of Cuchulainn'.

"Boatmans Call" is probably my favorite Nick record. it has gotten me through some times....and reminds me of certain relationships as well.
"Murder Ballads" is a close second.
although I fucking LOVE "let love in"...
it's hard to pick. nick is my man. if I died and was resurrected and couldn't be brought back as myself, he'd be my 2nd or third chice
