since my MA assessment is coming about soon, i've been working in after effects with my footage, scans, etc. to try and work out how to convey observation of the detail and 'magic' of nature to a viewer. it's actually really hard to figure out if stuff is only interesting to me, or whether it would indeed have a shot at being attractive to someone else's eye.
i've started a 'video sketches' folder on my website to just throw up some ideas. i generally spend far too much time working on ONE project and trying to pool all my ideas into it, which rarely works. hopefully this will get some stuff out of my head and into tangible pieces to work with.
anyway, the majority of it all consists of organic material, captured on dv, digital slr, or via scanning. some of it is just experiments in motion graphic-type stuff. it's all in quicktime for now.
the sizes are anywhere from 3 to 34mb. still figuring out compressions and whatnot.
take a gander at some film fodder
