I just found a notice on my door saying that we owe $50 in rent and if we do not pay it in 7 days we are evicted. Um, we fucking paid our rent in full the day it was due. Dustin has his receipt (he paid with a money order) and I have the amount written in my checkbook--I don't have my returned checks yet but I can call my bank to verify. We just realized that they never gave us a copy of our lease like they were supposed to. We were supposed to get it and our mailbox keys when we turned in the damages sheet. We only got the keys. So, um, how fucked am I? I mean, its not like I can't give them $50 tomorrow, but we paid our rent, why should I have to give them another $50. And if it is some kind of misundertanding, it sucks that its happened so soon after moving in--it makes us look unreliable to our new landlord. Grrrr, and I'm pretty sure they are closed tomorrow so I get to be pissed and stressed til Friday. Dustin doesn't care as usual--"oh well nothing we can do now. We know we paid it so what's it matter?" Well, lets see, it matters because we got a legal notice telling us we suck at rent!

Damn I'm pissed right now.
