Hey Ya'll
Today has been especially awesome! My childhood best friend that I lived across the street from and went to elementary school with when I lived in Boise ID found me on facebook! = ) We've been horribly out of touch ever since my family moved back to the Portland/Vancouver area. We're dudes, we're just kinda wired funny that way. Last time I saw him was almost five years ago. I went to visit the old stompin grounds and a buddy of mine from my first base while on leave over Christmas. My folks where living in Idaho Falls and it was the first time we'd all been back together in a very long time. I got there a little early and drove up to Boise. Hung out with my buddy, we went and saw one of the Twilight movies (they have WA state in them so yes I've seen them all = P) which was a really horrible idea! Caught up with my sixth grade teacher, checked out my first high school and dropped by my best friend's old place just in case. He was in! So we proceeded to hang out and nerd out like no time had passed, except we had beer! lol Then we lost touch again >< So really super fucking awesome to hear from em again and actually be able to stay in touch this time!
While I was out eatin at Chilli's the other night having crispy christian strippers (crispy chicken crispers, fun story), I saw this awesome tree blooming under one of the lamps. So I went back with my camera for another bite tonight. Tried a different beer that was pretty tasty too. They may be over priced but they do have some good food that isn't way overpriced and a decent beer selection. I went for the bacon cheese burger, I couldn't turn it down two nights in a row lol. So here's those = )
Not exactly cherry blossoms but still really neat. I did find out that one of the best places for cherry blossoms is actually right here on the east side of base. So I will be over there quite a bit when things start to happen with them. I start new guy orientation tomorrow and will thus soon be exploring all over everywhere, can't wait! In the mean time I got myself a new phone, a pot, a big stirring spoon, a tea kettle, and a basket for dirty laundry. So yay I can actually cook stuff now! I'm so thrilled my phone is still in the box. My mom also linked me this really fun video I figured I'd share with all ya'll crazy cat lovers out there.
