I am still putting the life back together. Lost my hard drives and my wireless router, so I had to purchase some new ones. However, now I am back online. Fires pretty much suck. If any of you don't have renters insurance, get it!! I was a complete dumbass and didn't get any.

Ever since a break-in robbery in a previous apartment, we always get renters insurance. I think it takes a unpleasant event of that sort to make a person realize that it is important.

I ended up having to come back to Canada early. My condo complex caught on fire. I was lucky and only have smoke and water damage. Most others are all burned. More soon.

Man, I am back in Canada to soon. My condo complex burnt down. I am one of the lucky ones. Only massive smoke and water damage. More soon.
I am in Idaho now. I decided to take two days and break the drive home up. I spent the night in Glacier National park and had the campground to myself. I woke up at 6am and climbed up one of the snow-filled valleys before driving the rest of the way home. Very cool. Ill post the photos next week. It was all very therapeutic...

I wasn't planning to go, but my husband was going and wanted me to submit a paper. When the mundane spaces came by, I decided to submit after all since I've been working on that type of thing for a while (my dissertation was called "Therapies of the Mundane..." for example).
I was a bit disorganized myself. I'm pretty tired of travelling by now. Nevertheless, it went pretty well, and I think the panel was pretty good. Chris showed a pretty long dog park video, some of which seemed to be from the dog's eye view. I liked it, but at times I found myself distracted by the cute dogs rather than listening to the paper.
I've been going to too many conferences, in part because that's one of the few times I get to see my husband. I've decided to take a break - I'm doing AAA, but I've already not submitted to a few things that looked interesting. I need to focus my energy on publishing. And getting more sleep.
