Cool tat! Glad to see the Japan group actually help someone. I'm pretty new at the whole group owner thing having just taken it over, and I'd really like people to talk more. I pontificate enough about life here, though. Grrr. Anyway, what brought you over? And, I hope for your sake that you get outta Nova asap. btw heard there were some really good reggae clubs in Yokohama. Maybe not your scene, but wondering? "loud music and good vibes" tongue

i was going to write, but now i don't really wanna.

my days off this week were fabulous. beautiful weather, good friends, yummy mango pudding and cute new vintage shirt. oh, and i made an appointment to get inked next wednesday, so i'm stoked. i'm still deciding between getting the cherry blossoms on a branch or just kind of floating. i drew up little pics...

Wow - great article on what sounded like a really cool event. I'm so green. And you know it aint easy.
wink

I vote branches - but that's only because I don't like things to be too soft. You could always do blossoms now and get the branch later if you decide to. I can't wait to see it!

I'm not going to be able to get new ink until school is out. I'm probably going to use my birthday money for it.

I wish I had one of those little carts for my grandparents. smile

i just managed to find wheat bread... praise be to the gods of whole grains. (sidenote about buying baked goods in japan: there are bakeries every block and a half, but not one of them sells anything but white, crustless bread in packs of 6 slices. where do the end pieces go? and i've had loaves of that stuff in my apartment for a month...

aaah..... go to the German bread shop in the shoutengai on the north side of Kichijoji station. it is 2/3 of the way down on the left side before the temple.

i am blanking on the name but they have all manner of hearty German bread and rather reasonable prices.

hey..just wondering what part of japan you reside in?
clearlii:
somehow I'm not surprised about the Prinz-Dodd marriage... though I would expect a Prinz to get out and explore a little more first.. they can't be that old.

And yes.. same address..... smile I would tell you not to send me any more stuff because I feel guilty about STILL not having sent anything cool to you.. but I am too curious... anything you'd like to have from SD?

the boyfriend's mom and brother are visiting, so i've got to be secretive about my association with websites involving lots of naked tattoo girls, hehe. you can bet i will have lots to say by the time they leave next sunday, and you'll hear from me then.

in the interim, be content knowing that the blossoms are in bloom and i am a happy girl....

why is it that sometimes work actually seems like a vacation after your vacation? i just had ten days off and i'm exhausted... man, being a dopey tourist is hard work.

i got a little paper fortune at this temple in kyoto a few days ago and it said my fortune was "excellent." that made me feel a lot better.

i kinda wanna go home....

Sounds like you had too much fun on your time off. It's all good though. I did go to one of those temples and paid 100 yen to see my fortune. Amazingly it was BAD!! shocked How funny. Well it's good to see you're enjoying yourself even if your job sucks. I'm plannin on going up to Osaka REAL soon, for some partying and high class women. We'll talk about all that lata though. Love the prof. pic, where was it taken?
munchies187:
Ah dude tokyo tower rocks! I loved the view. I totally freaked out about the window in the floor. Mad fun though. That and the Emperor's palace, too bad it's sealed off from the rest of the world. I'd love to get some pics of that! Well hopefully I'll be able to take another trip up there sometime soon. We'll definately have to hook up!

oh, i had to get glasses yesterday because i can't read billboards or road signs anymore. so not only am i boring, am now officially an old lady as well....

Earthquake? Are you ok?
munchies187:
Yeah man it was crazy. I almost slept through the damn thing. I'm on the 4th floor so it was like swaying back and forth and I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. I was all disorientated. Ugh. It's all good though, there is just a little structural damage to the building.
I havn't been to Kyoto yet, but it's on the 'to do list'. If you ever do make it down here then we should hook up and I'll show you all around the town. I'll have to get more acquainted with the place, which won't be a problem now.
