I'm not really sure if I purposefully stand in other's shadows, so as to make sure they're happy, or if I surround myself with people upon whom the spotlight naturally shines.
Either way, the result is the same - I feel as though I stand outside, looking in. Personal life, either variety of my work, it's pretty much the same - I stand behind, or just beside, never ahead.
Went to a friend's house last night, to keep him company while his wife was off at a concert. It was nice. We played card games and horror-themed board games, and drank a few beers.
