Finally saw Kill Bill Vol. 2 tonight. Caught the late show at Palisades with chichicat. Amazing film. I loved it. Cherry cola is the bane of my existence.
Happy 420 day and all of that nonsense. It was Hitler's birthday, too, in case you didn't know. Hope you kept that in mind while you were "celebrating"
On a Deutsche-related note, I am interested in obtaining a shirt with the German flag and the lettering "Deutschland ber Alles" across it, which, if you didn't know, is the first line of "Das Deutschlandlied" which is Germany's National Anthem (not to be confused with "Auferstanden auf Ruinen", which was the anthem for West Germany only).
The lyrics are as such (translated from German by me):
Germany, Germany above all else
Over all else in the world
If it always holds together
Bound in brotherhood
From the Meuse to the Memel
From the Adige to the Belt
Germany, Germany above all else
Over all else in the world
German women, German fidelity
German wine and German song
Should be praised throughout the world
Their old, beautiful notes
Should inspire in us noble deeds
German women, German fidelity
German wine and German song
Union and justice and liberty
For the German fatherland
Hereafter let us all strive
Brotherly with heart in hand!
Union and justice and liberty
Are the pledges of happiness
Flourish in this blessings glory
Flourish, German fatherland
I figured finding a "Deutschland ber Alles" shirt would be relatively easy. I mean, the United States has shirts with its patriotic feces smeared all over it, so how hard could it be to find one for Germany?
Well apparently the answer is "nigh impossible." I actually managed to find a store that sells t-shirts of WWII propoganda, though. So basically what I'm saying is that I coud more easily buy a t-shirt with the words "Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Fhrer" more easily than I could buy one that says "Deutschland ber Alles."
I find that both amusing and hysterical.
I want my "Deutschland ber Alles" shirt.
Oh, and I, for a short time, visited some stupid "Music of the Revolution" thingie at Ramapo today. Oh my god what awful music. That's the problems with revolutions. They always come full circle.
And with that note to ponder, I bid you all a good night

QUOTE OF THE MOMENT:
Now you will receive us: we do not ask for your poor or your hungry. We do not want your tired and sick.
It is your corrupt we claim. It is your evil that will be sought by us. With every breath we shall hunt them down. Each day we will spill their blood 'til it rains down from the skies.
Do not kill do not rape do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions these are codes of behavior and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost.
There are varying degrees of evil we urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over into true corruption, into our domain.
But if you do one day you will look behind you and see we three, and on that day you will reap it - and we will send you to whatever god you wish.

Good luck with the t-shirt! If you ever do find it, or have it made, let me know. I know a couple people that would like one, too, including myself.
