EXCITEMENT!

Eeee. Through none other than my own wiles and charms, I have managed to procure plane tickets of extreme cheapness that will take me to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina next weekend.

Other than the beauty of central North Carolina, what awaits me there? Hehe. A girl. Not just any girl, a lovely wonderful kind cuddly kitty girl who just happens to be my dear friend....

Have a great time in Raleigh! Gotta love summer trips, especially to visit close friends.

It's 430 am, I'm awake and I am seriously angry... for no reason.
This is lame.
Were I in Wooster, I would take this time and visit a fine, renown establishment such as Walmart or Dairy Mart or even Country Kitchen. I am, however, quite dubious of Tucson's latenight/early morning offerings. I've never ventured out alone during this time of day.
Hmm, maybe I'll take...

yup I have been so stressed lately I haven't been able to sleep at the best of times but when the sunshines in my window and I too hear the stupid birds outside I think okay its time to get up but I am still tired...then you look at the clock and the upside is you still have like five hours before you have to get up.
Any good garbage lately?
humberthumbert:
it's almost 6 am here and i'm still awake and surfing sg endlessly out of boredom.

dude, if i walked by you, i would totally notice. that sounds like a bad pickup line... biggrin

...interesting day...

I took my first in-person trip to Fascinations. It was fun interacting with the salesgirls who kept asking if I needed any help with anything. ("Uhhh, yeah... which would you recommend, the butterfly or the dolphin?")

Also, the craziest lady ever was on the bus. She was seriously schizo. She just kept shouting at everyone. She would ask for a cigarette and...

squishylizards:
yeah, the worst is when you buy things there (fascinations) and they open them up and put batteries in and make sure it works and asks you if it is the right, um, strength.

I'm afraid of the dark.

Or more, I'm afraid of the dim. That point after sunset where the last of its vibrant colors has succumbed to the impending nightfall. Sure, you can still see your hand in front of your face, but you won't for long. Yet that lack of dark persuades a glimmer of futile optimism.

Tonight, I have lowered the blinds and the...

That makes me feel not as bad about the various quotes and other uplifting what-nots that I have plastered all over my apartment. If only they would serve their purpose.

You know, I've had this idea for a trick car for a while. It was going to be for a mid-90s Buick Roadmaster wagon, but I think the plans can be adapted to the 1989 Caprice.

Get all the windows except the windshield tinted as dark as possible. Get some sport rims and wide tires with white lettering. And add on the airride suspension, so you can drop that pimp-ass ride to the ground! biggrin

I LOVE REAR FACING SEATS!!! (I also love love LOVE cars that have a bench seat in front, so they fit three people up front.)

Thanks for the comments on my sets! I was a little bit rigid when I was shooting them, mostly because there was a fan blowing on me to keep my nipples hard and it was so spur of the moment. I didn't really have a clear Idea of where I wanted the set to go.

I deffinetly hope to let go with my actual set!

Best idea ever-- rescue an injured packrat. It seemed like a good idea since the thing was in shock and bleeding on the sidewalk outside of Best Buy.
Yeah, but those fuckers are noctural. It got out in my bathroom last night. I spent a good deal of time scrubbing rat blood off my wall today.
After recapturing the rat, however, I did take it...

Congrats on graduating! I don't know about saving the rat, athough I do sympathize. I once had a bird and a bat (seperate occasions) trapped in my apartment, and spent hours trying to save the poor things from my 2 cats! The bat bled all over the place, and the bird shit EVERYWHERE! So I can just picture the cleanup.

I've just never listened to much electrosynthpoptrash, although I am a big Cure fan from back in the day, have a lot on vinyl, and saw them live in '86 in Chicago. What's on your current top 5 fav list right now?
missmontana:
That is so sweet. Even rats need looking after. Congrats on graduate school I am right there with you babe. it rough sometimes huh?

glad you like the set. The bear was actually a marine too but then he is just a bear.

Today I proved my intelligence.
I stayed up all night working on a paper that isn't due Friday and not working on the presentation that I did have to give today.
We'll just file this under "things that make me feel dumb." This file, I might add is significantly thicker than the "things that make me feel smart" file that follows it.

And now for...

Nicely done - I am constantly messing up with my prep time for things. All you can do is "beh!" and move on to whatever else is due... there's always something else due, right?
redheaddevil:
Thanks! ;-)

Good luck on your paper, I don't envy you. It is true that there is ALWAYS another deadline right around the corner!

I gave it some space, and the vacuum cleaner works now. (See previous entry for details.)

Otherwise, the semester is almost at an end, I am consuming ungodly amounts of caffeine and I just can't wait until next Thursday when everything will be done and we can all go consume great quantities of libation in celebration.

Two more papers and two more presentations. I've got...

Are you procrastinating on the work you should be doing by dicking around with the vacuum? Sounds like something I'd do, actually. wink

I know what you mean about cramming work in - I have about 12months left on my scholarship and about 3years worth of work to get done. Now my PhD is not in maths but even I know that is pushing things.

What're you studying?
