Ok, I'm gonna start posting journal entries b/c a certain friend has been encouraging me to do so. I've never really done this before, but I guess I can try if out for awhile and see if I like it, so here goes....................
Yesterday was a good day - I'm starting a new project for work come March and I went in to the client - a big investment bank- to get familiar with the project that I'll be working on. The people there seem nice enough, and the client is located right in the heart of midtown so there are great restaurants all over to try - that's what I'll be doing during my lunch hours there - trying new restaurants and people watching. After work I went over to the east side to do a little community service. I spent 2 hours calling parents of low-income children to remind them to sign up their children for this summer program that they go to every year. It felt a little like telemarketing - which I hate - but it was for a good cause and the parents really were grateful that we were calling. It seems like the children stay with a host family during the summer and they really like it - it's called the Fresh Air Fund if any of you do-gooders out there feel like helping with a good cause. You can also work with the children if that's more your style.
Wednesday night I went to see the Producers - it was a really great show. My date was wearing a really classic dress - she said it was her grandmother's - but I thought she looked great! Matthew Broderick was really funny - I'll always think of him as Ferris Bueller though. Afterwards we went to this restaurant called Angus McIndoe - which was pretty good. There's nothing like eating a steak and fries and an apple tart a la mode at midnight! Anyway, it was a good night all in all.
Ok...........that's my first journal post. If all goes well maybe I'll continue this.......
