Ok, after a long AIM conversation last night, I have a new question for y'all:
Would you Poof? (I define "Poofing" as permanently changing your sex with a snap of the fingers. No going back, no surgery involved, no questions asked--to others it would be as if you were always that sex. Just poof, you're the opposite sex.) If so or if not, why (and if you're trans, maybe what about your transition was the hardest--what do you wish was easier)?
As you can prolly guess, I would have to poof. I'm not 100% sure why, and I know some of it has to do with this being hypothetical and no strings attached. But when I think about all the reasons why I wouldn't , they're all like 'because it's not something you take lightly' and 'are you not happy as a guy', etc. etc. And actually, I've just been reminded that I often wish I were female and could have kids (although I know adoption and progressive relationships make that even a kinda silly reason). There is just some appeal to being a woman, and I don't think it's rooted in my sexual attraction.
*Shrug*
Just a question I always like to hear people's answers to. Especially since my reasons aren't that good. Ha!
