I'm speechless. For once I have faith in humanity and this crazy country I live in. Because of racial divides, sovereignty issues, etc. I've never felt as if I was a "regular" American however now I'm inspired. I am "high" on the magnitude of this occasion and I haven't been able to stop weeping since I learned it was certain.

I am proud to be...

Hey, sweetheart! I'm living in Denver, CO. now. Been here close to three years. I can hardly believe it! Ended up meeting a lovely man here on SG and decided to relocate. It has been an incredibly HUGE adjustment, I can tell you. Most of my friends and family are back in Oregon, and at times I really question my decision. But, it is what it is.

Yeah, I'm pretty damned pleased with the outcome of the election, too. What a relief! Can't stop smiling. smile

My eighty-one year-old grandmother, who was born and raised in the deep south (Griffin, GA), is a passionate Obama supporter! The man has such broad appeal. He is truly a unifier.

Anyway...it's great to reconnect with you.

Wow... things have changed and I'm surprised, excited and saddened by what I've missed. Many friends have left which disappoints me greatly however the site has a lot of new things for me to explore now. It's been a loooooooong time. I think over a year and a half actually! Yikes!

So I finally tied the knot with my man of ten years around the...

Hi, n8tvegrl. Congratulations on getting married. Also, welcome back to SG. (You won't remember me from the old days, because I was anonymous back then.)

I'm happy to tell you that there's a trick you can use to add an archive girl to your favorite SGs. Just go to http://suicidegirls.com/girls/xxxxx/addtofaves/, where "xxxxx" is the name of the SG. smile

Wow, welcome back!

I have the awesomest of friends. My good friend said he'd give his current renters the boot and let me stay in his 4 bedroom house for $1K/month. Not bad when you consider the beautiful yard, the upgrades he's put in, and the fact that it is nearly as large as where I'm staying now. And it's only 7 years old!!!

So now I have...

Life is crazy. I see my grandparents every Sunday because my grandma is going through the mid to late stages of Alzheimer's and my grandfather cares for her all by himself (until we find someone). It is my time to see them, have lunch, chat a bit, and give him the mental break he needs as he is with her all day every day and...

I'm sorry to hear that about your grandma. I hear that's a really painful thing to go through. At least she seems better after the pacemaker.
kengineer:
Pacemakers are cool. I've worked for two companies that made pacers or components for them. The surgery could be worse. They build a "pocket" for the pacemaker around the pectoral, then sneak the electrical leads in remotely by threading them through a vein. I wouldn't call it minor surgery, but it isn't open heart either. She is so lucky they caught it when they did. I am happy for both of you.

I meant to come here and catch up on all my journal responses but this new look is too much right now. It's confusing and I know it is better but I'm not into trying to figure it out. It took me ten minutes to figure out how to update this.

I also hate the whole "about me" section... now I have to figure out...

Hey, I will see you in about three weeks! I have a small apartment reserved in Millwaukie, OR. If you know of any customer service jobs, or any jobs please let me know. smile
lufy:
Holy crap! You're not kidding! I leave for a week - come back - and *WHAM* SG is totally different. What is all this new "stuff" anyway? I'm very corn-fused.

So I'm in Vancouver (Canada) right now. I'll be getting to Portland in about 5 or 6 days....you have my phone #, right? Do you think you could leave me a message explaining the best way to get in touch with you?

Obviously I can't go into details here....but, WOW, this has been one weird trip so far - and I'm only 1/3 of the way done.

Talk to you soon. smile
