Today was the next installment of the Government job interrogations.
I'm *fairly* certain I-man ruled the arena.
(Of course Spud thought his was barry too!)

I was before a commitee of 3 and I'm sure I owned one of them.
One was a bit iffy but on the positive side.
Clearly I made the 3rd person very nervous.
She was stammering a bit and seemed...

Guess Ya'll were thinkin fine thoughts cause I got a perfect score on the test for the government job.

It was a multiple choice test and I totally froze up in the math part as I forgot how to do long division with decimal places (long divison!! like calculators never happened).
Anyway I ran out of time with 6 questions to go and just guessed...

Yep, Simone pretty much kicks ass.

That's cool that you were able to break free from the shackles. Quite often it happens after everything builds and builds and finally you have to let go, or go insane... which is letting go anyway.
solaris:
no, he just had plans with me and ditched me to hang out with his friend. he's not so bad. that just pissed me off. but i guess everyone is a douchebag once in a while. haha.

Believe it or not good news today.
.........................wait for it...................................

I got a call back today for a Government job that I applied for.
My chances are slim but I usually rock the job interviews.
It's a boring ass clerical job but I'd be helping seniors with pension plan issues which is a good deed and it pays THREE TIMES what I make now.

Please...

Government jobs are the best. Security is not such a bad thing I suppose.

cool, where do you live? my boyfriend has the day off today so i think we'll play some tennis.

don't listen to green or maladroit, but i am sure you have been told that. or, maybe you will like them, but i think they blow like no other. blue and pinkerton are great.

So I finally got my mom commited.
She's not there forever, but at least until she can demonstate that she can take care of herself again.
I'm feeling slight pangs of guilt thinking I've done what was easiest for me and not what's best for her .
She's been evicted from 3 apartments in 5 months and the last time she stayed with me she...

makes my mom look like a saint and completely sane in comparison.

Man!
It's not everyday you meet Jesus Christ, Jack Nicholson, Errol Flynn and Betty Page.

Eric Martin ROCKS!
(that's the local looney bin for all you outsiders)

I'd be really curious to know what the average IQ of SG users is now compared to, say, two years ago.
I can barely stand looking at the boards now.
What a repository of idiots this place is becoming.

I mean who doesn't love self-confident nekid chicks but it's always been the community that was my main attraction (if not the original attraction wink )
Perhaps...

I think 90% of the threads on the boards are asinine.

And 99.9% of everything I've posted there was rubbish.

And the moral is:
"Don't lend your hand to raise no flag atop no ship of fools."

All the stress and anxiety of the last couple of months just fell away today.
And all at once
Things aren't really any better but suddenly it didn't matter.

Without thinking about it I just took this huge breath and one shuddery exhale later it was all good again.

Yes, Boston it is. I love the place mostly, but not the weather.

Breathe it in. Breathe it out.

Yikes.
This new SG journal format had me looking at my recent past journal entries.

Trying to think of something more positive to say........
trying..................................
..................................hmmmmmmmm.........................trying.

Honest: I don't feel bad at all.
I'm having this sense of metamorphoses or something.
It's all much more exciting than it is depressing.

Well I was having a pretty awesome birthday, what with the people I haven't heard from in ages showing up and the smashing wicked gifts.
Then the cops start beating the shit out of my door.
I got dragged down to the hospital to sign papers to commit my mom to psychiatric intensive care for the FOURTH time this month.

Fucking neocons that are pretending...

yea i know what you mean but i feel like the new solaris is like that too. people don't like it because they think it is boring and slow but it does have a really contained feel i think. i like it. i will for sure check out the old one though, i have always wanted to, just haven't got around to it. i <3 slow space drama. haha.

sorry about the crappy shit going on in your life. i hope things are better for you soon.

Hey, I too am trying to repair my social skills after ten years of exile (I'm three years in, so far...not too bad). Came across your post on the board psych subject & related. Do you know how much neuroleptics cost in the US? I have a more expensive dope habit than a junkie.

At any rate, a random heads-up etc!

Will this ever stop???
Let's recap the last two weeks shall we?

My Mom passes out in the bathtub from Kidney failure.
She leaves the tap running and causes thousands of dollars in damage.
She's on life support and I'm told to prepare to make a "descision" about it.
Then a few days later she suddenly springs back to life screaming religious mumbo jumbo.

While...

I was vegan for two years. I went back to being veggie about nine months ago. I was really unhealthy, I rarely took vitamines and when I did they weren't the correct kind. I was at the heaviest point of my life. I felt so disgusting in my body all the time and my eyes were starting to sink into my head.

and you can find good veggie dogs all over. At least I usually can. That's one of the few things most conventional grocery stores will carry in their little mini organic/veggie section.

My best friend from high school went to a college in burlington, VT. UVM there was a diner in town called Henry's. They have a bunch of vegetarian things on their menu.

The most exciting are the veggie dogs and the veggie chili. Buy both and BAM you have veggie chili dogs. They have some pretty sweet onion rings too.

When I was up there the last time we went there and the girl behind the register knew we were from out of town and asked where we were from...Philly, she got all excited and she gave us a little business card with a mint stapled to it and asked us to give it to ZipperHead next time I was down that way.

Zipperhead...if you don't know what it is I don't really know how to describe it. It's a place where all the goth/raver/punk rockers go to buy over priced, usually, shitty quality (which I guess is kind of included when you say over priced but...) on South St in philly.

I did, and the people behind the counter didn't really get as excited as I wish they had.

It was disappointing.
