Last night I went to a beer garden all-you-can-drink with a bunch of other people. All-you-can-drink is a common option at most every bar and restaurant in Japan. Depending on the place and the time (1 to 2 hours), you can get it for about $12-30. I usually drink a little bit too much. You can blame my father. Not because he's an alcoholic or something; the man has a beer maybe every other month. He does, however, suffer from manic frugality. It's hard to break the instinct of "get your money's worth" he instilled in me.
We headed to a bar after supper. I went outside and laid down in a parking lot because I felt sick. When I woke up, 4 hours later, my phone battery was dead because my friends had tried calling and messaging me so many times. My girlfriend was worried sick and had taken the train back hoping I gone home before her. My last train had left many hours earlier, so I had to catch a taxi home. It was $60 [>_<] but I needed to let her know I was okay since my phone was dead and I don't have anyone's number memorized.
Lessons learned:
1. don't over drink
2. knowing I won't always follow lesson #1, tell someone I'm going outside when I feel sick
3. pass out in a more conspicuous place
4. keep a written list of needed phone numbers
5. carry a toothbrush and toothpaste; my mouth tasted like ass when I woke up

I'm glad you're okay, and I'm glad your gf isn't too mad
Hope you two have a good weekend!
Kitties make me happy too.
