One of my best friends of all time died last week from cancer. I've known her for at least 25 years. It was her second time fighting it. They gave her two more years. I spoke with her on a Monday, laughing, by Tuesday she was in a coma, and Thursday she was dead. Bang. Just like that.

Please make sure you tell all your...

Here is a pic of the bird's room. They have their own room upstairs. They think they are sitting in a big tree. I open the windows and they watch what is going on outside. I have nine at the momnet. It is a...

CUTE!!!! I love them. I just got a foster Bird from Mickaboo. Her name is Pierre. She is such a loving bird. She isnt afraid of anything. She loves to whisper in your ear and give kisses. She is a dusky conure. Very cute though.

Are you still travelling?

Did you know that when I-5 is closed at the grapevine in So. Cal. (because it is **snowing!**) and you have worked 16+ hours days for several days down there and you have to go home THAT DAY, that instead of taking 6 hours to get home to the just as cold Wine Country it takes almost NINE hours?

I don't want to do that...

Hello there, Friday tattoos etc..
In my journal.
miss_fifi:
Evolution Tattoo Friday the 13th Special!

They are going to open up at 11 am tomorrow! Yikes! Officially they close at 9 pm, and all the designated tattoos are first come, first served! Each artist did a set of 13 tattoos to select from.

There is probably going to be a sign up sheet, so look for that. Yes, you have to pick from the Special Selection. No, they are not doing back pieces or sleeves for $13. In fact, tomorrow they will only be doing $13 tattoos. But there are some rockin' tattoos to pick from!!! Come on, check it out!

Be sure and tip your artist, they will each be working for over more than 14 hours. There's going to be barbeque, food, candy, sodas, etc.. And Peacepipe is going to have party stuff too! Come say Hi to us all!

Hey!
After seeing Bronson's ( Bronson Suicide ) dermal anchoring last night, I got one today. I got a little sparkly green one on my ring finger. I'm sure I will be getting more, but for now, we are seeing how well they stay in. Hers is SO BEAUTIFUL! Here is a pic just hours after I got it. Maybe she will post a pic...

Hi Joker. I'm putting this back here in mine since you were getting a lively discussion from people *not* in the tattoo busines giving you advice. Please just go by what your artist says. They all do it a little differently because they all use differnet inks, which heal differently! Only they can tell you what is best for your healing because they know their product- and your skin.

*My opinion only from having them for 26+ years(I'm in Modern Primitives) and my significant other is a tattoo artist*

Yes, I program, much to my dismay. It's like pulling teeth for me, not so easy, but I can do it, so I get sucked in sometimes. I'd rather do networks and servers (super passionate about that!) than program any day. I don't do it as a staple though, which probably makes it worse when I have to. The saddest part is that I don't really have to work at all, so when I get talked into doing some of the not so fun work I could kick myself!

Another birdie on it's way here in the next few weeks. A cockatiel named Cholita, or something very close to that. Her parents are moving to Hawaii and cannot take her. Cocoa will be happy becasue he gets a little lonely being the only cockatiel left.

Hello Everyone~

I wanted one of my birds back. I asked my ex for her. He said OK, if I found a bird for Mongo, who lost his lifelong partner in March and is still very sad. I found one within days, just the same kind as Mongo is. Her name is Ponchita. (Ponchita was Poncho, then she had an egg, so she became Ponchita....

Pretty Sun Conure.
miss_fifi:
It's so fun when a new one comes into the house. I knew where this one came from and was able to bring her into the bird room (they have their own room) within a couple of days. The new ones shake up the old ones. They all perk up and watch each other and squawk all day instead of sleeping.

Many of the birds I rescue come in hurt, sick, or just plain freaked out and crazy from abuse or neglect. This one is super sweet and in great shape. She's been a nice addition so far. Her old cage was dirty and broken, and not the right bars for a Conure. She now has a new cage and new toys and seems to be having a great time with the other birds smile
