Why Hello SG! Long time no internets.

No, I have nothing of consequence to report, I just wanted to see how you were doing. Don't look at me like that, I know I've been working hard, but it doesn't mean I don't care. It's just been an insane summer, you know? Weddings, many, many weddings, and more to come next month, so I will be...

Glad to see you, like always.

Telecommuting is magical. I do it myself! Oh, how it eases it mind, heart and NERVES.

I've been to NOLA many times and it never ceases to be a delight. We are going then in order to reduce costs, but I am a little afraid of the heat. We shall see!

How is the sweetie?

Well now, it has been a while, hasn't it?

All is well, many little things have changed, but stepping back it never seems to be of much consequence. I have had the pleasure of working on some truly amazing stuff at work, which I can't say much about other than to say it's the most exciting - and promising - therapy I've ever seen (and...

Either way I will awake on Monday to find that I am a black 30yo, so that will be nice. wink

Work, sleep, repeat.

Fell asleep on the couch after reading up on SPECT imaging, while Morgan Freeman was talking about eternity in the background. This produces strange dreams.

Thanks, friend. I'm certainly in the better.

How are you? Anything getting in between the work and sleep these days?

Hmmm, it's been a ridiculously long time since my last update. Well, what's to report? Had a fine time last night with friends old (Flux), newish (d23), and (one hopes) many newer still.

In other news, the work situation has in many ways improved, due to some key departures and one key promotion - my own. Does this mean more work?...

Congratulations on the improving work situation. I wish I'd been able to make the trip north. Don't over work yourself.
chipawah:
Boo for more work. I know about that all to well. Just make sure to make the time to be creative. Otherwise it slowly dies and you suddenly find yourself like me.. A mindless drone repeating the same damn thing over and over day to day... How much longer till the world ends? haha

I've nothing of real consequence to report, but overall things are good. No, I haven't switched jobs yet, for the moment I've decided it's better to gain what experience I can. Besides, the hours have become more flexible of late, and I'd rather be picky. But there are a few other irons in the fire right now: I've been talking to my old game development...

I have returned from my all-too-brief excursion to Los Angeles, having seen many old friends, and I find myself generally refreshed. Let's see how long I can hold onto that feeling.

btw, from personal knowledge I would dare to say related to the song that unfortunately that's not why some got bad teeth hahahahaha

Thank you. I really appreciate that. smile

(And I'll fully disclose here: that blog took way too long to write. I think that helped it along quite a bit. Drunk blogging can be done, if it's done really slowly. tongue)

How's things?

Things are things. Yes, I'm still looking for something new and better, but I'm being a bit picky, I'll admit. As I see it, there's no point in jumping ship unless I know there's a habitable island nearby, with better shipmates, er, Island mates, er, this analogy is broken. Anyway, I've managed to break through the wall of despair and panic at the current job,...

Good plan, methinks! I hope you are able to find something good soon. Simply having something that pays a living wage is quite amazing these days! There is always the ever popular side job that blossoms.

I may be your NOLA neighbor around the time you are there. I am not sure if it is going to materialize or not - or when precisely - but if I am in NOLA in Oct (or officially projected to be) I will let you know.

Last night, in the midst of fucking around with a laptop for major demo, I came to a revelation. My new job sort of sucks.

Today, out of the blue yonder, I was contacted by a headhunter. Thank you, PTBs.

In other news, the winning question at trivia tonight was this: how many grams of fat do British children consume in candy, over the course...

It was a fun trip , and congrats on your place you got a while back. Thats awesome.biggrin I took something completely different a while back but as the sets go sometimes they do not get submitted right away. It was a fetish kind of set. Probably safer with sticking to the SG trend. miao!!

Thanks all! I have returned from PA, and I'm happy to report that my mom is recovering steadily. I spent much of the time cooking and fixing things around the house... which is, ya know, pretty standard for me these days, anyway. While I wouldn't call this past week and a half a "vacation", by any definition, it did seem to recharge my brain a...

Thanks! I'm pretty excited about the place. You are welcome to visit my ceilings anytime! smile If I ever get a camera I will try to take decent pictures of the place. I'm so jonesing to set it up.

Well, I have to give that bastard some credit. He managed to spin his way out of being called an utter ass and con-artist. Not that anyone with a semi-sane mind couldn't figure out what he's all about.
But, I did like the whole. "Jesus is just giving us more time to be gathered." Then when asked if he'd return all the money people gave him (Including those that gave Everything) "No, we won't give it back, there is much to do with all that money."

Brass, total brass.. I sit back and wonder, how this man and his organization isn't behind bars. =/

Didn't want to post this until we were sure, but it looks like my mother will need surgery to repair or replace her mitral valve. As these things go, this is not as grave as say, a triple bypass, but yes, it's still heart surgery.

Spoke with my siblings, and it looks like I will be heading east to be there for the recuperation process....

I wish you good luck on both accounts. Her health and your travel. It does seem like a different world at times. When you're so far away from family.
