Today I smashed my thumb in a horse trailer, ruined an entire batch of thin-set mortar I was going to use to level a shower base and discovered how much I suck at sawing things. For what it's worth though, getting off of work and being home feels so much better than it does most days.
Tomorrow I have to rough in a house, renew my license and talk to my bank about why my account is magically overdrawn. Then, it's off to train with the local fight team. I haven't trained in over a month so I'm just a little scared about my conditioning. I planned on making my debut last month but didn't/couldn't for an exhausting list of reasons. There's a fight card in GI (20 miles away) in just under 2 weeks and just about everyone from my gym is on it but between being a lazy jackass and still needing a fight license there's no way I'll get on it. If everything works out though, the biggest promoter in the area will be putting on a show in June here in town. I would love to debut in front of the home crowd. It might add a little more pressure as far as having to win but that shouldn't be a problem. I don't think anyone goes into a fight without the intent to win. The way I see it, I can't lose.
Everything's gradually coming together and it's nice. Frightening too.
