*UPDATE*
========
I have, like, 10 minutes to write. I don't feel it's enough to warrant an entirely new journal entry, but I feel compelled to inform the greater SG community of what it is, exactly, I am up to.
Right now it is work. Litterally, I have been working so much I have bags under my eyes. I've gotten about, hmmmm, 10 hrs of sleep in the last three days and I expect to only get about 2-3 hrs. tonight. The reason is this:
It's the end of the semester and it's also finals week.
Grades and comments are due, I still have a 2 hr. final to create which has to be adminstered tomorrow morning, and I have a major project and test to grade for all 60 of my students. Then the finals have to be graded. Uggg....
So, yeah, don't expect much of me on here until about Thursday. That's when everything will be done. I'm returning to Philly on Friday (17th) and I plan on catching up with people both in the physical and on-line sense of the word. I don't have to leave until Jan 3rd or 4th - so there will be plently of time to see/talk to you all again.
'Till then - smoke 'em if ya got 'em 'cause my ass is gonna be absent like whoa.
========================
This is why I love my students:
I teach using a white-board (no crappy, dusty, miner's-lung inducing chalk for me) and white-boards use markers. For some reason all my markers were dried out Friday morning. I could barely write on the board. And, yes, I was getting a bit frustrated.
Well, after 1st period I left to go get some breakfast. When I came back, I found a brand new marker taped to my door with a note that read, "Here, we found you a marker that works. Your students J--- and C--- "
Isn't that the sweetest thing? These kids rock.
