My loves, have you ever had those little moments of kismet, where all things fall into place in a weird and wonderful order? Have you ever met someone you were meant to cross paths with in a completely strange place?
When I was in Los Angeles last month, I popped by SGHQ. I wanted to shoot by the pool, so I came back the next day and @rosedarling said as I walked in, “there’s another pink haired Canadian SG here right now, let me introduce you”.
And that’s how I met @lovesick - it turns out I’m the reason she couldn’t have the name “Lucy” here (sorry I stole your name bb!😂)
It ALSO turns out that we’re cosplayers who have worked at the same places and do the same things, and we have tons of friends in common (who have never introduced us, but commented “I wondered when you two would meet” on our picture together!), and it also turns out we live DOWN THE STREET FROM ONE ANOTHER.
This is what I mean. Kismet. So much crossover in our lives, and this city and this site are so vast we’d never heard of each other until we met across the continent.
We shot at SGHQ five minutes after we met, a quick and dirty self-timed phone camera situation with a cheaply made but horribly overpriced tripod I’d bought at Target five minutes prior to going to HQ, but made plans to shoot here.
We shot so much cute Christmas content and it turned out beautifully. I can’t wait to share all of them, but here are some shots from our first set.
