I made this for Noir, because she's sweet and I like her.
I adore cooking, and we have this cute little asian supermarket by my house that is just filled with new and exciting things to try! Preserved winter melon, dried cuttlefish, wasabi cashews, aloe drink (with REAL aloe chunks) and red bean ice milk bars!
Tonight on the menu: I'm marinating a large chunk of side ribs in a mixture of fresh squeezed lime juice, premium chili soy sauce (fancy!), minced garlic, ginger, and raw honey. Tonight I'm making honey garlic side ribs, stir-fried jasmine rice with fresh veggies sauteed in sesame oil with a bit of garlic, ginger and soy sauce, and some frozen pork and chive dumplings. FreakPirate is handling the dessert. I made him make the mango jelly powder. He likes to help. He does a very good job. And yes, I'm being a patronizing asshat.
We'll drink green tea and have a feast tonight, and I might even find room for a black plum and a few spoonfuls of green tea ice cream.
It'll be a feast!
