Geez the weeks seem to be flying past at the moment. Its sort of a good thing but sort of a bad thing - as you might be able to tell I'm a little indifferent about this.
Work is painfully slow at the moment in terms of progress and the time going so quickly doesn't help my goal of having all the projects tied neatly away before xmas. I quite like the theory of time waves in space where the theory goes that time can actually be faster or slower depending on where the wave is hitting; say Earth, for example.
Fuck colds and sore throats - its only a smallish bout but I _hate_ making snoz
Weekend was good, got some work sorted on a personal project and then had a blast in town last night - got well into lots of scotch with some of my gal's friends who are leaving for Ireland shortly. They stayed, we had an awesome bacon and eggs and other evil shit breakfast and then our afternoon fell in a heap. We were planning on watching Two Towers director's cut but our friend who we thought had left it, hadn't. So we got out Ghost World and watched that.
Great movie but it just made me really flat, not quite depressed but just flat.
Not the best way to end a weekend!
Root canal 1st visit tomorrow...woo[waves flag] that'll be awesome.

there is no background trauma
i just don't like to touch small metal things
any and all jewelry, silverware (although i make do), dimes. monopoly pieces. subway poles and airplanes are ok.
not interested in channelling and whatnot, no offense. i know that the worst is when i go to the dentist, i have to be numbed up just for a regular cleaning. scraping metal on my teeth--the sound, the feel. even numbed up i clench up my hands and feet, and struggle not to wail. but that's physical pain. i wonder if maybe metal in the world reminds me of that.
i thought you meant you have to gather all the drops of water on the shower walls, with your mouth. much easier your way. how do you predict how your day will go? like, if you miss a drop, that's a bad day? sounds more superstitious/OCD than a phobia. as a kid, if i did something with one side of my body, i had to do it with the other side too. to think, i was fucked up even then...
have you read the david sedaris books?
taps--ok, big enough to wrap my hand around. utensils? plastic at home if you look closely when i eat with metal forks/spoons, i am very subtle about it, but very careful that no part of them ever touches my teeth. again, if it does, it's physical pain, and i have to put the fork/spoon down and react for a little bit before i can resume eating. people only notice if i tell them. or at least, i think so.
