This is so weird, people. Everything is blurry. I've known for the last couple of months that my vision is no longer perfect, but that doesn't make it any less strange that things that were once crisp and clear in my eyes are now squiggly and fuzzy.
But it's OK. I have wanted to need glasses for a long time. I guess Superman answered my prayers. (That's a Simpsons reference, I'll have you know!)
Man, I have a headache, looking at the blurry screen for so long. I guess it's all the years of staring at computer screens that has robbed me of my once-perfect vision.
I want to find some cute frames! I'm thinking I don't want big chunky frames. They look great on other people, but, as the saying goes on SG, "not for me". I'm thinking I would look cute, and, dare I say it, sexy with thin frames. (Is that even the correct terminology? I'm new to this glasses thing!)
People in a thread about LensCrafters are talking about glare protection and scratch protection and all of these fancy things I've never even considered before. I really need some advice from people who wear glasses about what sorts of features I will need, and what to avoid.
Agh! Everything is soooo blurry, seriously. I'm getting a major headache, here. I can't afford glasses right now, but I soooo want them.
edit: Would anyone consider helping me get glasses for Christmas/Hanukkah/whatever? I'm seriously considering putting up my PayPal donation address, and maybe even starting a thread asking for help. Good idea? Bad idea? Yes? No? Help?

I've only ever broken one pair of glasses in the past six years, and it was a result of a child jumping on my head while I was laying down. I fall asleep with my glasses on constantly, but I often wake up to them neatly folded on my nightstand. Go subconscious!
