Well folks, I've decided to retire myself from this site. No particular reason, I just feel as if I've met a good share of great people here and that it's just time.

Please please please keep in touch. You're on my friends list for a reason.

Well hello there.

I've been in Philadelphia for about a week now, and I must say that this is a pretty cool town. I've been working alot at my new job (which I love) so I haven't had time to go exploring until today.

I started my job on Tuesday, and I was greeted with a slick laptop and a nerf gun. "You'll need these."...

And what were your findings?
baletempest:
Damn1 that sounds like an amazing job! Hope it turns out to be permanent for you.

In answer to your question, I'd like to get a PhD in some sort of Conservation Policy planning type thing... basically my dissertation marries Ecology, Economics, Law, Sociology, Psychology and Management in a bizarre fashion and nearly no-one has actually done this sort of thing before so I don't really know where it would fall under... probably Conservation Management.

Or I could stick top known waters and do an Entomology PhD...

Good thinking; flying is definitely the way to go. That's only a six hour drive if you are extremely lucky. Last year, I sat on a ten mile stretch of the Cross-Bronx Expressway for over four hours. New Haven was surprisingly bad as well.

Good to hear that your friend liked Albany. I don't really know that much about the area yet, but I'm feeling strangely optimistic about the move. And you've definitely got a place to stay when you swing up that direction.

Oh, and thanks for getting the Fresh Prince theme song stuck in my head... tongue

I NEED to get more Tim & Eric hahaha, I cant thank ya enough for showin em to me biggrin

Have a blast at the new city dude, hope the metal scene is crankn

Hey guys,

Sorry I haven't been around much, between finals and working practically every day, I've been extrordinarily busy. The good news is: it's over. biggrin

I really don't know what to say... I'm beat, but relieved that it's done and I'm pretty sure I banged out a 4.0 this semester.

I leave for Philly a week from today. I'm pretty excited.

(that light show's pretty cutting edge though eh!)

zetetic:
the mirrored specs pic gives you a bit of the Dave Wyndorf look. No bad thing. Also, "Chuck D eats babies" huh. Is that speculative or a known fact...biggrin

things seem pretty full on but glad things are going good. EL SUICIDO LOCO

An open letter to the cosmic overlords:

Stuff it.

Sincerely,

The Tim and Eric Awesome Show: Great Job! is one of the best shows ever. My friend thinks that I am insane because parts of this show make me laugh to the point that I cry. Perhaps SHE is the one who is insane.

For those concerned, I am trying to work on...

Fucking hell fella, sounds like good times. Good luck with the test - if in doubt: long division biggrin

Which shows off the extent of my maths.

Also sounds like you've got a good plan opening up before you in terms of study and career. Best of luck with it.

Heard a bit of Naglfar and enjoyed; gonna download this and enjoy some more
granny:
Really? When was that? I thought I heard someone yell something, but I was trying to catch up with my friend (Who was wearing a Malignancy shirt, I think).

That's too bad, though.

My weekend off turned into a weekend of work. Oh well. Friday night I got to see The Haunted, Dark Tranquility, Into Eternity and Scar Symmetry. I was most impressed with Dark Tranquility and Into Eternity. Scar Symmetry put on a good show but their music is a little too generic for my tastes. The Haunted... well, I was never much into the whole Gothenberg...

Had to share this:

Heavy metal 'a comfort for the bright child'

Heavy metal 'a comfort for the bright child'

By Nic Fleming, Science Correspondent
Last Updated: 12:01am GMT 21/03/2007

Intelligent teenagers often listen to heavy metal music to cope with the pressures associated with being talented, according to research.

The results of a study of more than 1,000 of the brightest five per cent...

Wow, what a busy/stupid week last week was. Work/sleep, rinse repeat. Spent 3 hours on a bus on Friday for what should have been a 1 hour ride from Boston to Worcester. It was a white-knuckled ride, it was snowing like a bastard. I saw 6 accidents on the trip and was quite frankly very happy to have made it home in one piece.

This...

Don't know the bands but all that metal for $7 can't be bad. As for the tat, well, you know I'm a fan of the guy and I think it's an amazing image. Obviously what Hickers said goes but the work that you sent me of that tattoo artist was pretty amazing and I reckon he'd be up to the job.

What's AIM? I mean I am intending to join the 21st century at some point, but I just need a little help getting there...smile

great tattoo idea!!!! love

Money woes. Well, not true money woes, I can pay my bills and whatnot, but I wish I had more so I could go to the Hellraiser Open Air in May. I'm actually considering doing it still, I mean, you only live once, right?

I came to the conclusion today that I don't know what I want, but I know what I have to do....

Yes, I cannot recommend Mulholland Dr. enough. (It used to be on my favorite films list until they changed the layout of the site and erased all that shit for me. Still haven't gotten around to doing all that crap again.)

Thanks for the explaination. I've been struggling with that whole what I want to do question for quite a while, as well. I started in on a grad program a while back, but it really wasn't the right move for me at the time. Hopefully I'll get it all figured out before I kick the proverbial bucket... biggrin
