YAAAAWNNNN!!!
I am SOOOOOO tired today! Needless to say, despite EVERYONE in the house wanting a dog, I am the one up at five in the morning with the little guy. On top of my normal morning routine of taking cups of tea up to those still in bed, making breakfasts, and packed lunches, cleaning shoes. Saying over and over again "Are you dressed? Have you washed? Have you done your teeth? Have you packed your bag?" And "Are you planning to get up this morning?"
Which is more than okay. Because I'm not much of an evening person, so it's swings and roundabouts, and I probably don't contribute much after I've cooked dinner. But I could do with more than six hours sleep a night!
That's about as big as my life's gripes get, so I'm pretty lucky, aren't I? Considering I spent half an hour just now talking to a friend whose partner has left her, after lying about the massive debts he'd racked up, and is now planning to default on his mortgage payments on their house....which is in negative equity. So you can imagine how she's feeling.
ANYWAY.
I had a fine night out last night. You remember I mentioned Otis Gibbs playing the Big Session Festival at the weekend? Well, I saw him again in The Grapes pub in Sheffield last night. Hardly the big festival stage, just an upstairs room - when he swung the neck of his guitar up, he banged it against the ceiling. We all sang along, and tried to achieve the 'rock n roll greatness' he encourages - all 30 of us! And he told the most wonderful stories of his travels and his childhood and home in Wanamaker, Indiana. We had a chat, and he is SO nice, and he signed a CD for my daughter, who saw him at the festival, and said "Tell her I said 'Hey'".
But you can download the whole damn album for free from his website, because he's that kind of guy....
Otis Gibbs
For those of us who love folk, this is the kind of music that reminds us why there is so much to like and admire about the US; about the people especially........
And here's another picture of my boy. He is so handsome.
BUT the little bugger has just chewed through my laptop's power pack cable, so I'm now having to work off my home PC, which does not have half the analysis apps I need for my work. And it will take days to get a replacement. So he is in the doghouse...which makes a change from it being me.

I love The Brothers Karamazov, I think it's his best book. You seem rather well read.
And thanks for your opinions on my girly question. x
and good!
Take care...
