Soundtrack for my day. Click and carry on...
I'm having a ME day. I'm fed up with trauma and doubt and worry, and I've dug myself out. I have personal problems I need to deal with, but I'm dealing with them, and that's okay. And lots of you helped too, so thank you.
So. First of all a nice walk with Merlin, then a good yoga workout. Then I started to compose an email to my Global Manager, complaining about my lack of meaningful work, and at that very moment he rang with a major project for a large banking client of ours. Must be the psychic waves! Anyway, I can start justifying my salary again by the looks of it.
And then, I went climbing at lunchtime to The Edge in Sheffield...
Yep, back to the bouldering room which deals out so many injuries to me! And now my fingers are skinned, and my forearms are screaming for mercy, but it was such fun to be climbing again. I love the overhanging walls best - just the feeling of your whole body engaged in each movement, trying to choreograph each part of the problem.
So I came out of there feeling very pleased with myself! Expressing it by driving through Sheffield city centre with the windows down singing 'Natural Woman' in a dodgy falsetto was probably a little over the top, but there you go.
A few more sessions like that means that I can once again contemplate freezing winter days, ripping my fingers to shreds, doing endless repetitions of tiny problems, and generally doing stupid things like this...
Hooray!!!
(in case you're wondering....putain - bitch/whore/fucker!)

I hope to rejoin the gym after New Years. I hope we compare notes on our success and not on any backsliding.
