2nd post of the day.

Driven by a post from a friend on here.

Who are you jealous of?
Do you know them? Or are you jealous of a celebrity/star/co-worker/boss.

I have envy of some of my friends. From the outside they seem to have it all, they seems to have what I want.

But then I remember that no one has a perfect life....

I love you Lacey. I hope that's not weird to say... But I mean it, you just made me feel so much better about myself, and that is why I love SG. When I am really down & out, this place is simply a living hive of love and support when I feel like I'm so alone. I'm still sad, but I cried when I read your comment because it made me so happy to see someone say nice things about me even if I'm severely flawed. I'm never looking for perfection because that shit is boring. I hate perfection in people. In objects? Art pieces? Photographs? Architecture? Surely I appreciate perfection then. But perfect people or perfect lives? Don't exist. And the ones that are damn close? they're boring.

You're an angel. I'm usually the person who leaves that comment for my young friends who are struggling. I like that you're that person for me. ♥

Gosh, it is still a freaking mess out there.
I am working from home (God I love my new job).
But the question is - do I go in tomorrow? Will it be cleaned up enough?

I was already planning on working from home on Thursday and Friday, but maybe I will work from home tomorrow and go in on Thursday.

Decisions, decisions.

Everyone has...

LIke everyone else on the East coast I will comment on the snow smile

It is finally snowing and that makes me domestic. So, a chicken with cranberry stuffing is in the oven. The house smells like winter, and that is a wonderful thing.

Santa brought me Bailey's so a hot chocolate with a few shots of that in it will be in store for later....

Happy Holidays!

Are you surviving?
Or are you thriving?

Right - the fricking holidays.
Article after article say try to balance, say no, don't get overwhelmed by the holidays.
Ummmmm........right. Easier to say then do.

So.............................I bitched about my commute as many of you know (1 hr, 57 miles) and then turned down another job closer to home.

Why? Because it was a step backward...

I love cats and dogs, I don't have any and won't for the simple fact that I don't want to shovel shit. Ever again.
nanette:
I'm so friggin happy for your mom! Soooo happy for you! As annoying the commute may be, you are doing what's best for you! I'm bitching getting into Spring St from Inwood, soooo pathetic...can't wait 'til I move to Riverdale, we'll see how I react.

Sometimes they are the best. No crowds = a fun time for me.

No, not at all sad! I do too. My roommates get drunk and entertaining, I hang out with them a little bit and just chill out by myself a bit. You have all weekend to do weekend stuff - what's wrong with taking an evening to yourself?

Survived Black Friday.

Not a ton to say really. Basically I have just been trying to get into the habit of my new life and trying figure out how I can fit everything into it. And perhaps living in a small bit of denial.

It was nice being off for four days.
Hard to go back to work after them.
Ahhh......the good part of being...

I love the little quips between Stallone and the Governator there.

"Whatever weight I lost, you found it."

"Give this one to my friend here, he likes to run around in jungles"

"He wants to be President."

Just make me chuckle.

It must be winter ----- my skin was feeling so tight and dry, the normal reaction once the heat is on and I am taking 20 minute showers to get warm.

So tonight I did a dry scrub with a loofah, then a salt and olive oil scrub and finally once out I oiled down again with some skin so soft from Avon. Now I...

Sign me up! Or rather, sign my hands up. Lord they've been hurting. It's not as bad as when I waited tables, but it's still painful.

I love winter for the snow, hot choco and delicious chilis and soups tht make you feel all warm and snuggly when you eat them.

I don't love winter for the darkness so early.
Yawn.
Or maybe my body is still adjusting to the time change.

I will be in CT this weekend - for one of mom's last chemo treatments.

I love those same things about winter.

I'm very happy your mom is coming out on the other side of this.
gangstaswan:
I'm disliking the early darkness as well. Last year I was working nights so I didn't notice. Now I work a normal 8-5 and when it's dark at 5, I get disoriented.

So Glee (another brainchild from the guy who brought us freaks and geeks) did an homage to Rocky Horror Picture Show last night.

I am really curious to know if it will revive the midnight showings. If it will get folks interested in it again. When I was a teen ager it showed at a local cinema. I don't even know where to find it...
