stab! stab! stab!'s show last friday went all right....i'd give it a 6 overall. we had sound clips running through a CD player that the sound guy plugged into one channel of a stereo plug. what that means is that you only got to hear the background noise of every clip. so instead of the dude from american psycho talking about ed gein, you hear random restaurant noises. i guess it just made us look really artsy. so we played, pittsburgh kids seemed to be semi-into us. the one's who mattered liked us, the rest were just miffed cause we didn't sound exactly like norma jean. life goes on.
the opening band, fall river, was super good. i had played with them before when i was in caught like fire, so i invited them to crash at our place before heading out for detroit the next day. they were a ton of fun. got to go to a pool party right after the show, and then fall river had a dance party waiting for me when i got back to my place. i'm a party machine.
i forgot to set my phone on ring last night, so i woke up today with 2 job interviews waiting on my voicemail. i was more productive while i was asleep this morning than i've been in like the month i've been home. that made it so i didn't feel as bad to not do shit today. i lifted, i ran, now i can barely move. oh the joys of being fit.
so we'll see come wednesday which i'd rather be: mailroom guy, or guy who drive A/V vans to hotels and sets stuff up. tough choice for which could top which. kind of like pirates vs. pigs.
