Suri is having a baby. She's in the hospital recovering so I will have a few days to pull this project together.
I'd like to make a little congrats video for her. I'd love to get everyone who wants to be involved into it.
Got a webcam?
Are you willing to record yourself saying
"congradulations" into that cam and send me the result?

as funny as this sounds, jealousy doesn't even register on my emotional scale. Girlfriends get upset about it because i don't show jealousy mostly because i don't feel jealousy, it doesn't register. Not just romantically either, but in all aspects of it. I sincerely just don't care if someone thinks something they have is better than mine or if someone actually does have something that is better.

It gets weird from time to time. Catastrophic events like funerals and deaths don't register with me like other people and it's the same with other things like weddings or events that are supposed to be happy.

Anxiety worsens it and enhances my desire to withdrawal from people and social activities. When i am doing well, i am doing well, when i am not doing well everything flares.

I can't even spot it.

I was at a bar talking to random people, some of them women and the girl i was with was frantically upset with me. She shut down and wouldn't talk to me and i honestly couldn't figure it out, i was backtracking everything i did in an attempt to figure out where i crossed the line.

She finally broke down and told me it was because i was being flirtatious with other girls. Didn't even dawn on me for a second that a) I was being flirtatious and b) she was jealous.

I don't drink much anymore, but if i ever make it to NJ i may make an exception.

Please go and thank Piksy for me. She and her friends and family put together a great care package for us. They're even replacing T's bike.

Consider hanging onto the damaged photos; with today's technology there's very little that can't be fixed and restored, even from prints. I'm sorry you're having to go through this.
kaikai:
in reference to dean's comment. Theyve been restoring photos found from the japanese Tsunami, it's crazy cool how good they look.

We didn't lose the stuff I was mourning. I'm SO thankful.
It turns out our flood insurance doesn't cover content. (We're changing that!)
So everything that's lost won't be replaced.

I'm so glad it wasn't EVERYTHING that was lost. I'm so glad the water never hit the main floor.

I'm so glad you, MDF and the girls are safe. I'm so thankful that your main floor wasn't affected. I'm thrilled we have a "hurricane date" scheduled to meet next year. If there is anything you need or want, let me know and I'll do my best to help. *big, big hugs*
artfulodin:
Very glad for you that things were not as bad as you feared. Hope the cleanup can happen quickly.

My heart is breaking.
In the run around to evacuate yesterday I thought to pack the cameras and the computers.

What I missed is making me ache with loss.

When I was a little girl, my dad built me a toy box. It was a beautiful chest, I spent many days filling it with blankets and pillows and hiding in it.
When the flood waters...

Hopefully it was all OK and wasn't damaged.

I imagine you didn't have much time to prepare to evacuate so it's impossible to have thought of everything in the short amount of time you had. At that point the main priorities are getting you and the other 3 people out of the house with what you really need as quickly as you can.

Oh honey frown frown I'm so sorry.
I can say that now is a time to start building new memories and traditions, but priceless things like that are irreplaceable.
I'm glad you and mdf and the girls are safe though kiss

I didn't get to watch it but I can say being at City Hall was an amazing experience. Getting to see Olivia Chow and how she took time to greet people was amazing too. O was in Toronto today and driving along the gardiner all the electronic billboards would switch to memorial pictures of Jack.

A few ppl have recommended that to me so I downloaded the book on my Kindle. I'm trying to speed read through it!

So after all the excitement about finding the local wine tours etc...
They just switched mydogfarted's med. No alcohol with this new one.
I don't want to be the jerk to drags him to wineries when he can't even taste the wine.
I am a sad khoos right now.

Dear local friends,
Why didn't you tell me there were wineries around.
Now I can be a proper alcoholic but disguise it by calling myself a connoisseur.
Buying 5 bottles of wine at shoprite makes me a loser. Buying 5 bottles at the vineyard makes me refined.
Love,
Khoos

Now, befriending someone that works at a winery is total win! One of my best friends worked as a sommelier and later at a winery nearby. Not only do you get the good stuff, but by the case, near at-cost. Yay purple teeth! biggrin
