You know you're doing good when.....
you look someone in their eyes and see them for what they truly are. Last night, someone came in bleeding and said he was run off the road and got thrown off the motorcycle, and he wanted help kick starting his bike, or just hanging out on my parking lot for a little while. It would have been believable, except for the fact that he showed his cut on his arm. It was no normal cut. He was stabbed there by a knife, the cut was too clean for a cut from the ground or branches he hit. He lied to me and I saw right through it. I asked him to tell the truth and he faltered. I then told him if he didn't lie to me the first time, I would have been sympathetic. But since he lied about the "accident" I wasn't going to help him in any way. I told him that if he didn't immediately leave the premises, I was going to call the cops. Well, he went on saying that I was being an asshole by not believing him. I straight up told him where I thought that cut came from, and his story changed really quick. He admitted this time he fell off the bike and the driver of the car got out and stabbed him. I'm thinking there's more to this, and I told him one last time, get out of my store or I'm calling the cops. I don't want anything that attracts bad attention to my store. He left. A half an hour later, someone came by looking for him. I told this person I didn't see anyone by that description. Well, he left. The guy was driving a big truck, with 6 people in it. The guy who was in there was a big man, and I know he deals with drugs and hookers, and putting 2 and 2 together, I knew what had happened. The man was running from him because either he owed money, or he did something really stupid. I hope this doesn't come back on me, but he got what he deserved and he was lucky that all he got was a serious beating and a few stab wounds.
