With Germany gasping for air in the sweltering heat, expected to reach as much as 100°F today or tomorrow, I prefer to remember my birthday weekend of just two weeks ago, when I had the my feet in the sand and the sea breeze in my hair :-)

@iggy I love the South (in theory, and not including the redneck racism), but the climate is not for me.

You know, the only thing about the climate here that I like is that it doesn't snow much and when it does everything shuts down. I don't have to worry about having to drive to work in a blizzard here, unlike when I lived in New Jersey. But I honestly hate the heat. You can always put more layers on. You can only take off so many before you're arrested for public indecency.
