here's something i have been thinking about for a few days now (and I warn you, because I am tired I may start rambling), but i'm curious to see your thoughts on this...
what do you think about the possibility of falling for someone you haven't physically met?
i'm not talking about L-O-V-E, but just falling for them...more than falling in like but less than falling in love, although i do think the latter is possible. i have a friend who does a lot of internet dating, who falls for every guy she talks to, without meeting them. it never seems to work out in the long run for her, but there are often "other issues" that come up.
but do you think its possible to develop true feelings for a person, just by talking to them? the one thing i have to say, is that you truly get a sense of their personality...unless they are a really good liar. but i like to think the best of most people.
maybe its my inner hopeless romantic coming out. but i'd really like to think its true. i'd like to think you CAN develop a true attraction and true feelings.
sometimes its just falling in lust and that's probably best left alone. i know this from experience. the relationship that ended for me this past summer was one of those...we both thought it was a falling in love experience, but soon learned it was just falling in lust. but good things came out of it. did i know at the time it was just lust? maybe in the back of my head, but i never let it get to the front of my mind. and as it progressed on, it started to creep forward, but i always pushed it back.
but that was then and this is now. and now will not be hindered by then. i always try to grow from my past experiences~to learn whatever lesson i was to learn and to march forward on my path. and here i go...marching on...stronger, more determined, and knowing more what i want...knowing more about me and what i need and what i desire and what i crave. i feel empowered because of my "then" experience to fully embark on my "now" experience with open eyes and an open heart .

Yes, I think you can truly fall in love with someone without meeting them if you talk to them. I definitely know you can love someone without meeting them. I've never met WhiteWidow but I love her and consider her a part of my family. However, the actual meeting in real life might cause the love to diminish due to various factors, like mannerisms, that can drive the other person nuts.
Love you.
