my daughter, the revolutionary

Last night I called my daughter to check in on her. She was at some place in Seattle, at a meeting of revolutionary elements.
The phone connection wasn't very good, but I know it had something to do with either Syria or serious. Maybe sirius?
Whatever.
But at least she's a revolutionary.
She's also an accomplished poet, in fact remarkably good and experienced for an 18-year-old. I know plenty of people with much more experience who don't understand poetry as well as she does.
Am I just a proud parent bragging?

She has always had clear ideas about who she is and what she wants to do.
But she has never had to deal with life in the "real" world before. She could have stayed with me for free, or even probably stayed with her mother, but she preferred to get out and make her way.
All I'm saying is that she will impress you if you visit her page.
She's trying to find a decent job, but her roommate seems to be capable of making sure they don't get tossed out of their apartment in the meantime.
If worse comes to worse, I'll send her more cash, but I also was able to give her a good lead on jobs.
She's the best, people. I wish you could all meet her.
