It should be a pretty good day: my article came out, I turned another in last night, and I have two more lined up.
But, I was awakened by a friend who was upset about something I said. Which was repeating something she had repeated about someone else. At least five, maybe six people are involved in the whole debacle. It was a funny line, not mean, but feelings have been hurt. Friendships dissolved. Trust broken.
It's my fault for repeating it. But it was funny, and oh so true.
But, does the fault really lie with the original utterer of the line? Or with the gal who told me? or the one who took what I said and, after promising never to repeat it,(or I would never have said it) repeated it? I don't know how I get involved in these things. Warning: you can't take words back, even when you meant no harm.

hmmm-all of you? I hate when seemingly harmless things turn out to not to be.
