Holy crap, time just crawls by as I go through my day, and then when I look and see that my last blog was October, it feels like it flew by. Video games will consume your life if they're what you spend every free minute on, kids. Well, not much has happened in my life, really: I worked on Halloween, and stayed in town with...

Right, so @onyxheart decided to do her own little follower homework, and I've decided to take part because it gives me something to talk about aside from my boring, work-saturated life. So, the first question is "What does SG mean to you and why do you like it?"

To me, Suicide Girls is a support group for those of us who can't or won't fit...

So, I'm wondering how a place can get away with posting that a job is full-time, following up with saying the job is part-time, and stating in the interview that it's one day a week and on-call every other day. Because the Post Office just pulled that shit. Their email asking for an interview said that the job was part-time, so I figured it'd be...

Well, it's been a few long months since I've posted, but now that everyone's back in college, I've got a bit more time on my hands. So, I've spent it catching up on several TV shows, including The Walking Dead, Hell On Wheels, Justified, The Last Ship, and 24: Live Another Day. They're all wonderful shows, and if you're not watching them, I recommend you...

We have new walking dead next month! im so stoked for it. I don't know if its just UK but i've heard being a postman pays really well! Good luck in your hunt :)
jedoro:
@blu And I'm pretty excited now that I'm all caught up. I hear it pays well here, too. More than I currently make delivering cash, which is weird. Thanks!

Well, it's official: I'm running that Firefly game. For those unfamiliar with what's involved in a tabletop RPG, I'll try to explain it. Imagine you're writing at TV show (because yes, it takes that much planning and detail). You've got the world set up, but you've got to come up with characters, a specific setting, several plot lines, and an overall story. But you're not...

Well, I've tried blogging every two weeks or so, but here I am about a month later from that last one. But it's okay, because I'm not a terribly interesting person, so there's never much to say. Work's been rough, I've been working most Sundays lately because we're kinda shorthanded and no one else wants to work Sundays. It's left me with some extra money,...

So I decided that for some reason, video games were better for my sanity than beautiful women, so the past few weeks I've been playing those instead of browsing the site in my time before work. Ladies, you're wonderful, but sometimes you just gotta smack some bandits and dragons with a big sword or put some buckshot into a Raider's chest.

Work's been rough, and...

you should definitely take a trip whenever you can ! I think few things are better for a person. South Korea sounds rad, do that ! I need to do more international travel for sure. oooo cabrewing 💜 that is something I need to do.
jedoro:
It's looking like a good friend from England will be coming stateside, so we're looking at exploring the South while she's here. I wish I could travel more, but I don't make enough right now. Be sure not to go climbing on wet rocks like I did, unless you like getting cut up.

I don't believe in the universe or God giving me signs, but if I did, I'd say I should reconsider being a cop. I've got a few friends who have talked about their interest in law enforcement, so that's kinda kept it somewhere in my thoughts. I talked to my friend's uncle, a retired homicide detective, and he seems to really believe that I should...

So I usually have a pretty strong immune system, but I guess with this changing weather and these freak cold days, something got through. I've been coughing since Thursday and had a slight headache (probably from all the coughing), but at least I haven't had to miss work or anything. It's definitely hit many more people, though, like half of my role-playing group. I play...

Pretty disappointed right now. This job needed 2 years of security experience, but according to a phone call I got today, they had to be armed. I've only got 1 year of armed experience, so I'll be staying stateside for another year. No security contracting for me. Not yet, anyway. That was literally the only thing between me and this job, so you bet I'll...

Damn, I'm so sorry. I know how much you want that job, and I'm absolutely positive you will get it sooner or later. And you're more than welcome. :)

Right, so you guys know how I've been applying to work overseas? Well I've applied for that job in Kosovo three times now, the final time being yesterday. Sunday. Because I say it's a new day when the sun rises, and it's 1AM here. Anyway, I got an email today saying that they want me for the job, and I'm pretty fucking stoked. I've still...

OMG - congrats!! That's a short notice indeed, I hope you manage to sort everything out by then.
jedoro:
Thanks! I've been sending in a few more papers they've asked for, but it's still not set in stone for whatever reason. But I figure at this point they'd tell me if I wasn't getting it, so I'm still optimistic. I don't have much to sort out, I just want to give my current job two weeks' notice if I can.

Well, there's nothing new in general in life, so I'll just talk about an adventure run I did yesterday. It's called the Hometown Hero Run, and it was a 4-mile course through the woods with some obstacles thrown in to mix it up. I'd planned on running it with my sister, but she twisted her ankle a while back and is still recovering, so I...
