i think all the allusions to being in a new school are brilliant over on the nbie talkboards. particular favourites are 'no one will talk to me and i dont know where the toilets are' and 'easy on the kidneys'. and admittedly it does feel a bit like that. someone else also mentioned that there was a bit of a 'got in on the top floor mentality' - but ive not really got a comment on that as that is how ive kind of felt ever since i had the internet, which felt late but ive no idea if it was later than my contemporary generation. infact life in general seems to be done better before you, no? you always want to be the first to discover new trendy band/crazy indie director/exciting new website/hip young theatre company (that last one is probably just mine...).
im posting this blog because someone on the talkboards said that a few journal entries help with being accepted into local groups. not that im adverse to posting blogs. i probably need an outlet, but perhaps the more damaging psychological problems im confronting right now can wait for a bit. ive just moved to a new city where i dont know anyone (though ive got a new friend in the barrel who im meeting tomorrow night wish me luck!) so it would be cool to meet people here who are from my local area.
and im sick of fuckin facebook
and myspace passed me by so i never felt comfortable there.
and should 'sea and cake' be on my favourite bands list?
and is this a journal or blog? or is it interchangable?
possibly less melancholy next time

Know what you mean about the "is this a journal or is this a blog" thing. I just joined mid last month and have pretty much been using the blog entries as an inner monologue extension figuring there are too many people here for everyone to read everyone else's blog. Kind of the anonymity in numbers theory.

I saw your comment on the lit group intro. thread. What's the play you got performed about?
