So, I got to spend the last couple of days on the new boat. I was so cool! I got to start making it feel like home. We had our first company over. We picked Alan's brother up in Manhattan and brought him over to check out the boat. It was really neat. We smoked together and hung out while Alan worked on the engine, or electronics or something... lol. I was "entertaining company", not paying attention... lol! Then we took him to a cool little burger place we found, Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger. Then, off he went of the train and we got back to "work". The seller invited himself, (and his 5 year old son), over to the boat to work on it. And suprize! I got to watch the kids. I don't mind watching mine, but when I get to watch other peoples kids without being asked, I get ticked off... But how dare I question my "woman things"... GRRRRRR! I like being a house wife and all, but I hate the ASSUMPTION that I will do things or that its a "woman's place" kind of crap!
Anyway,... off my rant... We're hoping to get all the paperwork sorted out and get the boat registered... If that all get's done by Tuesday, we're going to bring the boat down next week!
So, all this is going on and I have started getting a bit more involved in the poly community, (in other words, I've joinned some e-groups). I'm at a point where I really get that there isn't much chance with the people I have crushes on. So, I'm starting to put out feelers in a community where I won't have to explain what poly is and convince them it's ok...
And I'm missing doing my art. I haven't done anything with my movie in a really long time. I haven't really done anything with my photography, either. I need to upgrade my hard drive and that other camera before I'll probably do much with that.
... I'm also thinking about starting to sew more again, though in Key West, that'll be a real pain in the ass, as there aren't many "fabric store"... there are some quilter's shops, but those are really expensive. I might have to order fabrics from online... and patterns too. I'll have the room to get involved in projects. I'm thinking of doing some period pieces... I found a victorian gown and a baroque gown that was so cool, plus, I would love an elizabethan too... and on the big boat, I could have a closet to fit them!
