Yesterday, I didn't get much of anything done for most of the day. I just sat around on the computer. I always "hope" to get something done on Wednesdays and it never seems to happen. I wonder why that is. One way or another, I need to get that to stop for a while to. There are too many things here that need to get done.
However, yesterday, I was talking with one of my friends and I ended up walking over to her house at like 6 or 7 in the evening. She does art whenever she's home, so I brought my own project with. I brought a sewing project that I finally started a week or so ago, but never did much with. I'm taking a pair of jeans that no longer fit me (my size 11s with holes), and a pair of cute lounge pants that are all ripped up and I'm trying to make a skirt out of them. Let me also mention, that I was sewing by hand, so it's taking some time. But I got the front and back of part put togerther and started getting the skirt-jean part together. Now, I need to cut and sew in the pink & white, (the lounge pants), and get the waist/hips part attached to the skirt. But I can see it being done by next weekend, (NOT this weekend).... So I'll see...
Also about next Wednesday, that's when we're finding out about the "big boat". I know that we'll have lots to do should that happen. Re-establishing the loan, arranging a survey... Who knows what else...
I have so many things that I want to do... Sometimes I feel really overwhelmed. I'm trying to get things worked out so that I get to do all the different things I'm interested in.
I want to:
sail around the world
get the big boat and make it a topsail schooner
have historical clothes
have a vintage and themed photography studio
life coaching
freelance travel writing
A couple books I want to write w/photos
write short stories
have a poly family (with more then just the 2 of us)
run a few websites
sing and write lyrics again
see my friends...
MAKE friends
own all Robert A. Heinlein's works
have my own island and declare it MY country and myself the Emipress.
To have a Pirate resort town. (it would be like a resort/ren faire, except it would be 1700s and all pirates and townsfolk and mayor and such... Like Tortuga or Port Royal.)
I'm sure there's more but I can't think of it now... But a lot of those I can't do the way I envision right now, but I can incorperate aspects of it.

Although it's not the best of boats, the price was right. I saw it on craigslist for $300 and couldn't pass it up since Tim had been living here for months since our last venture in buying a boat (lots to be said about that one too (the boats still alive but the project went down in flames)). Seems like I should have passed up on it now though. The title wasn't clear. It had a 60 day hold on it (long story). Because of that no marina would rent me a slip for a boat that's in someone elses name so my brother had to stay on it in anchorages and guest slips. Just this last monday I finally got it transfered into my name. Unfortunately now, after two months of supporting someone living at sea (combined with getting a $300 vessel up to seaworthy condition)(and supporting my own life on top of it all), I'm kindo broke and it'll be another week at least until I've got the cash to get it into a slip. I had what seemed like plenty safty net of cash when we went out on this project but that was figuring that things would go SOMEwhat moderately smooth.
With boats though it just goes to show. You NEVER want to think the sea will be easy on you. Ever. The same, in this case, seems to holds true with the DMV and everyone else that has anything to do with boating.
Case in point: Tuesday the day after I got the boat transfered into my name I went to the marina that I REALLY wanted to get in. I called him first and asked if he had slips and he had one. He said he'd it was a big one and he wouldn't rent it to me for less than the 30' price. I really wanted into that marina so I said ok and I'd be right there. Once I got there he saw things were kindo funny with the dates of the boat purchasing and such and asked me the story on it and I told him. He said he didn't have a good feeling about this, that it would turn into a sneak aboard deal, and said he was gonna pass. I was like "You're gonna pass?" thinking about any other business where a customer comes in saying he wants to buy your product and you say "Well, sure I'm a 7-11 selling this Pepsi n all, but it seems like you're nothing but trouble so I'm gonna have to pass on selling this soda to you."
But it's not like it's a huge horrible thing or anything. Just meant that I was gonna have to say to Tim "Well, sorry Tim, looks like you're gonna have to raise the spinaker and sail back to Catalina and anchor off the coast of this tropical island in an achorage with free wireless broadband for another week er so and spend your time fishing and partying at the local bars with the girls you hooked up with on myspace. Sail on back in a week er so and maybe I'll have a slip. Sure he could be on a bigger nicer boat n all, but it's still kindo tough to feel sorry for the guy ya know?
