So, there is less then 15 hours left till the auction is done. All my friends are swishing me good luck and doing whatever they do for good luck, (fingers crossed, etc...). Thank you all for the well wishing... I guess I'll be finding out soon if this boat is meant to be part of my family. (Hope she'll like the name Boudicca. I wonder if I can find anouther spelling of it?)
Anyway, some funny things have happened in the past week or two. I have found a lot of my old friends. Ok... so I spend $20 to join peoplefinders.com to find some of them, but of the 6-8 people I was looking for, I found 4 or so of them! I found 2 friends from when I was first dating my hubby, and the lady that hooked up up. I also found my midwife from with my first daughter, and the midwifes ex, who introduced us to the magazine "Lattitudes and Attitudes"which is what convinced me I needed to live on a boat.
And on myspace I have found, or been found by, some old high school friends. Including one dear friend I've been looking for for about 12 years, and my first prom date, (I had a yahoo IM conversation with him just today!). It's been really neat. Especially since I'm finally at a point in my life where I'm happy with both ME and my life!
I think, (if we get this boat), I'm going to have the first "house warming" party that I've ever had. I want to invite a whole bunch of people over, (BYOB), and get to enjoy having the room to have people over! I'm wondering how many people we can comfortably fit in the boat at once... hehehehehe... (sounds like a college thing... LOL)
Also, if we get it, I think we might just go to Key West to stay for a while instead of going to the USVI... We know where we can get work quick down there, and we know where all the places are that we'll need to get stuff, and that's important when you are doing things on the cheap. Plus, my Mom never got to come down to Key West, (she's never even been to Florida. She really wants to go to Pirate Soul.
All that is left is for me to wait...
