Went to see Seth Lakeman last night
He was great. I might go and see Marnie Stern next week. I've only heard a few songs of hers, but it might be a good gig. I'm definitely going to see Saint Etienne next month (that would probably be a record for the longest time between starting listening to a band and seeing them live for the first time). But I need a gig buddy. I've lived here (the people's republic of mancunia) for nearly 6 months, and I still don't know anybody round here except at work... .. it has been hard to meet people (not working for the first few months didn't help). And gigs are just more fun when you're with others. But I like it here. I think I feel at home. I haven't felt like that for a long time. It would just be nice being less of a billy no mates.

ticket duly snaked to see Saint Etienne, and thanks for mentioning that, as otherwise I'd've missed them. again.
I would've thought there'd be at least one ticket shop in Manchester?
