Ha! Maybe open it up for a vote - you then study WHATEVER SG decides...

And yeah, of course it's not everyone's cup of tea, but one should never tell someone else how to live their relationships. I'd always recommend what we do, but only to people that want to and would be able to manage it emotionally smile

Marnie Stern - at The Deaf Institute, my new favourite venue - was absolutely chuffing brilliant. Pocket Knife - one of the support bands - were pretty effing great too.

More like this please, world!

Yeah, I liked Inception and Monsters, too.
I can also recommend Devil, Splice, Exit Through The Gift Shop, Whiteout, Machete (so much crazy fun!! biggrin ) and The Horde. Most of the movies I watched were entertaining.
Unfortunately I found Tron: Legacy quite disappointing. I love the original movie, I even have Tron sneakers from Adidas! biggrin
The special effects and design of the second one were amazing! But the story wasn't even half as good as in the original movie. And some of the dialogues were rather ... cheesy. But Tron: Legacy is definitely eye-candy. wink

Hope you'll have great holidays! smile

Went to see Seth Lakeman last night

He was great. I might go and see Marnie Stern next week. I've only heard a few songs of hers, but it might be a good gig. I'm definitely going to see Saint Etienne next month (that would probably be a record for the longest time between starting listening to a band and seeing them live for the...

Leeds also has the advantage of being a one day con.

ticket duly snaked to see Saint Etienne, and thanks for mentioning that, as otherwise I'd've missed them. again.
ikaruga:
yeah, there's far too much crap with ticket sites.
I would've thought there'd be at least one ticket shop in Manchester?

I love the fact we celebrate the 5th.
mark_plus_beer:
Yeah that's true, but taken into context, America has halloween, Mexico (or is it most spanish speaking nations) have Die De La Muertos so its a nice and terribly British affair.

I'm starting to look at rooms in house/flatshares this week. Choosing a house or a flat will be relatively easy... it's choosing the people that's going to be hard. How do you know decent seeming people are still going to seem decent after a few months? They'll have the same problem, I suppose.

Tell them your favourite film is Shallow Grave and talk about how true to life you find it. That should help you out, maybe

"Congratulations! You got a moving cameo from Steve Earle. Collect $10 from all other players"

Instead of houses do you get crack dens ?

I still miss you, John.

I'm just listening to Tom Ravenscroft on 6Music. I've heard his name mentioned here and there by other presenters, but I don't think I knew until today that he's John Peel's son. And you know what, you can tell. He seems like a good bloke and top presenter in his own right, but I'd be lying if I said...
