I just bought a Venus Fly Trap during my lunch break. I put it on my desk and Im waiting for it to catch a fly. How weird is it that a plant eats flies? Its like it evolved enough to have somewhat of a mouth..hum. I want it to get as big as Audrey (thats the name of the plant, right?) from Little Shop of Horrors. Well, maybe not THAT big, but kind of big anyway. I do feel bad about putting a killer plant in my office when I really think about it though. I feel bad for the flies and other innocent insects, but I also dont like being in the midst of working and having a stupid noisy fly buzzing all over my office and hitting the windows. Its annoying. At least this way I wont be the one to kill the fly. I can blame it on the plant. Hes a mean little plant, yes he is.......

Ok, i took a picture of the plant (yes, i'm at work and very bored..)
As you can see, it actually caught a real live fly today!
(the other one is a dead fly i gave it yesterday..)

also, you can feed it little pieces of raw meat, too, if you want to see it eat. i don't know what kind yours is, but most of them will lose their mouthes when they eat and have to grow a new one. still, it's cool.
