Downloaded some 50 Foot Wave the other day. Really cool stuff - Kristen Hersh has a killer voice!
Also got some Tanya Donelly stuff from Beestung.com.. Very cool as well.. There's a couple really good live recordings on that site.
Now if I was in a big city, I'd be able to see cool bands in person

I'm not sure what kind of lights I'm going to use yet. I was going to lige the inside with one standard 25 watt bulb and hopefully run strings of those blue/purple mini christmas lights down the legs, but I'd be happy to have your input!

I chose moldmaking. I just finished a video class last semester and my computer crashed the day of my critique and I lost my edited project. It caused lots of stress and I reshot/edited over break. I need a break from machinery. I figure it's easier to find a film class at another school after I graduate.

Funny, some guy drove 5 hours to hang out with one of my friends on NYE and she was complaing about having a headache all night and pretty much just lay around half asleep on the sofa. Poor guy.

I'm not a photographer but I love photography and I enjoy pics of crazy and weird stuff.
When I'm thinking about what to put up in my journal, I usually examine the way I feel at that given moment and type in a word or simple phrase for a google search of images.
Sometimes the pics I find trigger some other thought or mood and it leads me somewhere different from where I started out. Sometimes whatever comments I post along with the pics have nothing to do with the pics, and then when I read it later it seems like the mind makes a connection between the words and the image and it gives it all a different meaning.
Lately, I've had a thing for abandoned buildings...

I'd love to try and make it to Ragpickers, but I'm already booked to attend a friend's show at Hooligan's tonight. Keep posting your showtimes in the Canada West group, though, I might be able to check out your band another time!
Gogol Bordello was totally insane! And their violinist was cool!
