It's not so much that really A typical presidential cantidates always win....

but it's the reason why they win that bothers me.
Because no one thinks..... well... a great majority doesn't think.

I say fuck it anyway, since even if everyone in the US voted for someone else.... it's still technically possible that Bush could be elected in the electoral college...

tonight was AWESOME.

it was everything i was hoping for when i decided to go out tonight.

i knew nobody was gonna be there and it was gonna be a night of (mostly) dancing by myself, and you totally delivered the goods, and gave me lots of fun stuff to dance to.

you should play X next time i am there. i was gonna request it but i couldn't think of a song i wanted to hear.

oh, and playing the RAMONES song "sha la la (howling at the moon)" or "somebody put something in my drink" would be pretty bad-ass as well.

oh, and what the hell is up with that FRANZ FERDINAND song? every bone in my body is telling me to hate it because they are way popular and trendy right now, but holy shit its so good i can't help it! i finally danced to it tonight after resisting the urge for over a month and it was totally awesome.

i'm not sure where my halloween is going just yet, but so far this week i have dressed up like the Ultimate Warrior (and danced to Thriller), watched 5 horror movies with granny and gone to see GWAR, so, i'm doing just fine with my halloween festivities.

oh HELL yes ~ those are MARVELOUS suggestions! i'm playing around right now with various painting objects, and henna would be marvelous, especially since it would leave traces for the future. well, a few days or so at least. but, part of what i am really interested in is what leaves traces and what accumulates in/on people via that kind of subjectivity. it would be so rad, too, if pple wrote something ASSUMING it would be washed off, then saw me walking around with their unfiltered ideas on my body. rock. that would totally confront the idea of harmlessness and attach their behavior to a sort of temporality that challenges the brevity/levity defense (as i am calling such dismissive statements as "oh s/he didn't hear me, knows i'm kidding, etc)". you are brilliant.

and i am glad to be back in my virtual home. i was rather testing myself/needs etc. by leaving, and discovered this is a healthy outlet place that really complements my life as opposed to a bad habit. plus, i love you guys. especially you guy.

I bet you're learning a ton. I find situations like that, where I feel like I'm out in deep water, I tend to look back later and realize how alive I felt.

I forgot to ask you before I left, who does that cover of "Can't Get You Out of My Head", which you played tonight? I don't know why, but it struck me as rather interesting.

The first week at work turned out to be no sweat, pretty mundane actually. They just had me doing boring, archival stuff, basically logging old footage. This week will hopefully be a bit more exciting, I may be directly involved in an actual shoot Tuesday. Suffice it to say, I did overeact a little, only b/cuz this is my first "real" job within the media industry since I finished school in July, and was really paranoid about a making a bad impression on the first day. It'll take me a little while to get completely comfortable yet, but at least I'm not walking into work on pins and needles anymore.

Fall fairs are the best, I always look forward to travelling to nearby small towns to check out at least one every year.

I'm glad to hear you're still plugging away at the music, any chance of you posting sound bites of your work over the internet?
